Rob Craig
Rob is an international biodiversity conservation consultant currently based in the UK. Between 2001 and 2021, he lived in countries mainly in Africa but also in Latin America and Asia, working on the design, implementation, and evaluation of wildlife conservation and natural resource management projects. Initiatives have included: developing certification and quality control systems for agro-ecological production for an award-winning smallholder organic farmers association in Costa Rica; designing and piloting a theory of change evaluation methodology for the Global Environment Facility; coordinating and writing conservation area management plans and best practice manuals for East African wildlife authorities and partners; for the Wildlife Conservation Society helping to establish national conservation area networks and wildlife and tourism policies in South Sudan and Afghanistan and overseeing day-to-day operations and management in Niassa Reserve in Mozambique. Most recently, he was based in DR Congo, supporting the strategic and institutional development for the delegated management of the Upemba & Kundelungu National Parks Complex.
